A Diverse & Welcoming Jewish Community

The Jewish Community of Lincoln dates back to the late nineteenth century. We have two synagogues in town, Congregation Tifereth Israel (Conservative) and Congregation B'nai Jeshurun (Reform), also known as the South Street Temple. We are egalitarian and welcoming to all.

Together our community includes about two hundred affiliated families including some who are members of both congregations.
